who am i?
BIO
My name is Luke Whaley. There are two things on this planet that mean the most to me: number one is my family, number two is writing. I have been writing since I was a kid, and within the past couple of years I've begun to take it seriously. I am currently working on my first novel, tentatively titled The Reach. I am also the writer of two blogs that I update on a regular basis. How Not To Dad chronicles my journey as a father to two young kids. Oubliette 13 is a blog about pop culture with a mostly horror slant.
On this site you will find writing about horror in culture, pop culture in general, horror fiction, memoirs, the ridiculous situations that arise when raising children, family life, and sometimes maybe a bit of all that mixed together like some frothy, tasty soup for the soul. Not chicken soup though, because that title is already taken. I'm not really a fan of chicken soup anyway. Maybe tomato. Yeah, let's go with tomato soup for the soul.
Maybe a side of grilled cheese.
